Artist's Description
Here the cell is envisioned as an imaginary hanging garden filled with containers. Membranes fold and curve to form walls and round spheres and flattened spheres. They can be containers for hanging plants and flowers as well as for transporting chemicals into, around, and out of the cell. Aren't the gourds containers for their seeds. It's an exuberant dance that's going on in the cells of living organisms!
ATTENTION: Painting is best reproduced on SMOOTH PAPER, NOT CANVAS OR TEXTURED PAPER.
