Our greeting cards are 5" x 7" in size and are produced on digital offset printers using 100 lb. paper stock. Each card is coated with a UV protectant on the outside surface which produces a semi-gloss finish. The inside of each card has a matte white finish and can be customized with your own message up to 500 characters in length. Each card comes with a white envelope for mailing or gift giving.

On the surface of the sea, the floating Portuguese Man-of-war seems like a delicate bubble, but below the surface, its long tentacles, covered with poisonous darts, make it a dangerous creature. During a storm at sea, where would humans find shelter? Better inside the air-filled float than beneath the waves, don't you think? The Portuguese Man-of-war is not one animal, but a colony of creatures, each with its own function: catching food, digesting it, reproducing.

"My painting takes off from nature inspired by science, especially from cell biology and botany. While much art depicts the world at the human scale (landscapes, portraits, apples in a bowl) I often start with cell membranes, the inside of cells, the silk spigots of spiders, lichens — the world of the tiny. By depicting natural forms in an imagined, mythical world, my paintings reveal the human psyche and its capacity to go beneath the surface of things; to experience beauty and awe and even fear; to understand that we humans are connected to all the other creatures on earth and even to the cosmos.
