"The Deep" is a mythic vision of the connection between our Sun and life on Earth. Photons leave the Sun, streaming through deep space and carrying energy to the Earth, where living creatures - algae, cyanobacteria, and plants - convert the Sun's energy into "green energy" that animals can use. In the cut-away view of the Earth are reservoirs of water, minerals and the molten core. Also traveling through deep space are dragon-like creatures inspired by gigantic jellyfish that were recently discovered in the deepest parts of Earth's oceans.
