Fold Upon Fold metal print by Shoshanah Dubiner. Bring your artwork to life with the stylish lines and added depth of a metal print. Your image gets printed directly onto a sheet of 1/16" thick aluminum. The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. The high gloss of the aluminum sheet complements the rich colors of any image to produce stunning results.

The folded membranes within in a cell create wonderful containers, like the walls of a canyon filled with water for swans to swim on. Or a soft bowl filled with straw where eggs can safely rest until they hatch. The human boy has to live not only with his neocortex and limbic system but the old reptilian complex itself. Sometimes there's a conflict between the rational child/adult and the old reptile within. Inside plant cells, thykaloid membranes are useful in storing chlorophyll. What would we do without membranes?

"My painting takes off from nature inspired by science, especially from cell biology and botany. While much art depicts the world at the human scale (landscapes, portraits, apples in a bowl) I often start with cell membranes, the inside of cells, the silk spigots of spiders, lichens — the world of the tiny.
